A Hamilton County Grand Jury returns a 20 count indictment against a man responsible for a series of rapes and sexual assaults involving young males

A Hamilton County Grand Jury has returned a 20 count indictment against a man who committed a series of rapes and sexual assaults involving young males. James Bohannon has been indicted on charges of Rape, Attempted Rape, Kidnapping, Aggravated Robbery, and Gross Sexual Imposition.

Bohannon, 27, is responsible for the sexual assaults of eight different males starting in August of 2004. In all of the attacks, the defendant used a handgun to threaten the victims and force them into secluded areas. Two of the most recent cases occurred in September of 2006.

On September 6, 2006, an 18-year-old male was walking on Pedretti Road in Delhi Township when he was approached by the defendant. Bohannon asked the victim for a cigarette. He then pulled a handgun, forced him behind a shed and sexually assaulted the victim.

Nine days later, on September 15, 2006, the defendant approached a 19-year-old male on Riddle Road and again asked for a cigarette. Bohannon pulled a handgun, forced the victim into a remote area and raped him.

James Bohannon was indicted October 12, 2006 for the August 7, 2004 rape of a 14-year-old male at Boldface Park on River Road. He is currently incarcerated at the Hamilton County Justice Center on these charges.
