Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph T. Deters announces an indictment in the 2005 Christmas Eve murder outside of a teen dance

 

The Hamilton County Prosecuting Attorney Joseph T. Deters announced the indictment of a man for a 2005 Christmas Eve murder outside of a teen dance in Roselawn. Quinn Edwards, 19, has been indicted by a grand jury on two counts of Murder with gun specifications, two counts of Attempted Murder, and two counts of Felonious Assault.

On Saturday, December 24, 2005, Cincinnati Police responded to a fight outside Club Legacy located at 7617 Reading Road. The defendant fired shots into a crowd of people hitting two innocent female bystanders. Chanel Jordan, 19, and another female, 16, were transported to University Hospital. The 16-year-old female victim was treated and released. Chanel Jordan, however, died from a gunshot wound to the right side of her head.

Edwards faces life in prison if convicted on all the charges. He is currently incarcerated at Madison Correctional Institution for a prior conviction of Carrying Concealed Weapons.
