Businessman indicted for Conspiracy and Attempted Murder of former associates

Today, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph T. Deters announced the indictment of a man who attempted to have a former business associate and his family killed. Business owner Jeffrey Gabbour, 39, has been indicted on one count of Conspiracy and four counts of Attempted Murder.

Gabbour, of Montgomery, attempted to hire a hit man to kill a former employee, his wife and their two children over a financial dispute. The defendant contacted another former employee to secure the services of a hit man.

Gabbour agreed to pay the intermediary a down payment of $450 to hire a hit man and $300 for the purchase of a handgun. However, the intermediary went to police and told them Gabbour’s plans.

On March 22, 2007, Gabbour and the intermediary met at a Springdale restaurant. Springdale police arrested the defendant in the parking lot of the restaurant.

Gabbour is the vice president of Prestige Enterprise International located in Blue Ash. He is currently being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center on a $2.5 million bond.
