Hamilton County Prosector Joseph T. Deters announces the indictment of Shamon McDavis in murder of Kelli Walton


Today, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph T. Deters announced the indictment of Cincinnati resident Shamon McDavis (DOB 5/27/81) in the murder of Kelli Walton and for the felonious assault of infant Kloe Walton.

McDavis is charged with Aggravated Murder (Special Felony), Murder (Special Felony) and 3 counts of Felonious Assault (Felony 2) for the March 4th shooting that resulted in the death of Kelli Walton and injury to baby Kloe. The shooting occurred at Miss Walton's residence on Hawaiian Terrace. Kelli died from gunshot wounds suffered while holding her baby Kloe. Kloe's injuries were a result of being grazed by a bullet and she is expected to recover from her injuries.

If convicted of all charges, McDavis faces the possibility of life in prison.

McDavis was Miss Walton's former boyfriend and father of two of her older children.
