Grand Jury indicts Findlay Park killer

A man who shot an innocent bystander in Findlay Park has been indicted by a grand jury today.

Jason Baker, 27, was indicted on two counts of murder with specifications, two counts of felonious assault with specifications and one count of having weapons while under disability for the incident that occurred June 11, 2005.

Baker shot multiple times into a crowd in Findlay Park. The bullets were meant for two other men, but hit Teresa Renee Hill instead. Hill, who was sitting in the park playground when Baker began firing, was shot in the head and killed.

Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph Deters today said, It is an all too common occurrence in this city. The callous disregard for the life of others is epidemic.

Mr. Baker faces life in prison. And the longer he and others like him are in prison, the safer Cincinnati will be.
