Man indicted for Peace Bowl Murder
Hamilton County Prosecuting Attorney Joseph T. Deters announced today the indictment of Dante Allen for the murder of Ernest Crear. Allen, 19, has been indicted on four counts including of Murder With Specifications, Felonious Assault, and Having Weapons While Under Disability.
On August 12, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. near 3477 Knott Street, Allen shot and killed Ernest Crear. The shooting took place 100 feet from the Peace Bowl, a youth football tournament in Avondale.
Allen is currently being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center on a $1.5 million bond. If convicted on all counts, the defendant faces Life in prison.
