HAMILTON COUNTY PROSECUTOR JOSEPH T. DETERS ANNOUNCES THE INDICTMENT OF MATTHEW HERRMANN IN ST. DOMINIC SCHOOL CASE
Today, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph T. Deters announced the indictment of Delhi resident Matthew Herrmann (DOB 3/4/75).
Herrmann is charged with 3 counts of Sexual Battery (Felony 3), 3 counts of Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a Minor (Felony 3), 3 counts of
Illegal Use of a Minor in Nudity Oriented Material (Felony 2), 8 counts of Importuning (Felony 5) and 2 counts of Disseminating Matter
Harmful to a Juvenile (Misdemeanor 1).
Herrmann was a Reading and Spanish teacher at St. Dominic School in Delhi. Today's indictment charges Herrmann with having
sexual conduct with one of his female students and directing the student to send him sexually oriented pictures. Herrmann is no longer
employed by St. Dominic School.
If convicted on all counts, he faces the possibility of 63 years in prison.
Prosecutor Deters commented, "This is a serious case and we appreciate the cooperation of Father Joseph Binzer and the
Archdiocese of Cincinnati."
