Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich announces indictment in death of 23-day-old baby girl
Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich today announces the indictment of Chistopher Evans in the death of a 23-day-old baby girl.
Evans, 35, of Kennedy Heights, was indicted on an 11-count indictment, including one charge of aggravated murder, three charges of murder, one charge of felonious assault and six charges of child endangering.
“This baby was just 23 days old,” said Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich. “She should have been safe in the care of this man. The allegations in this case are horrific. We will do everything possible to make sure Christopher Evans never has an opportunity to harm another baby.”
On Sept. 5, 2026, Evans was alone with the child while the child’s mother was in another area of the home doing laundry. While Evans was alone with the child, the child suffered injuries leading to the child’s death.
The child died on Sept. 6.
Evans was previously convicted in Warren County in 2015 on charges of child endangering and felonious assault for causing serious injuries to a 3-week-old child.
In the current case, Evans faces up to life in prison.
