Morrison is in prison because he repeatedly raped his children.

This came to light when one of his daughters ran away from home and told a counselor at the runaway shelter what had been going on for years. Each of the children described how he raped them.

The child who ran away told police about a rape that occurred because she wanted to go to a track meet and Morrison wouldn’t let her. When she complained, he sent her to her room and followed her there. Once in her room, he started touching her. She told him to stop, but he wouldn’t. He threatened her with a knife, told her he would kill her if she told anyone, and then vaginally raped her.

Though she remembered that the rapes started when she was twelve and ended when she ran away as she turned sixteen, she couldn’t begin to guess how many times she had been raped because “it happened so many, you know, you lose count.”

Another child remembered when he found her in the kitchen after Thanksgiving dinner. He snatched her up and wouldn’t let her go. He then started groping her, focusing on her vagina.

Another was ten when he started raping her. The first time that happened, she had been cleaning up her room when Morrison came in and ordered her to take her clothes off. He then tried to vaginally rape her. Over the next two years, he at least digitally penetrated her vagina while making repeated efforts to vaginally and anally rape her with his penis.

Morrison gave at least one of the children a venereal disease. One of the children he raped has Down’s Syndrome, which limited her ability to communicate what happened to her.

Each child reported that Morrison threatened to kill them and their mother if they told anyone about him raping them. Those were not empty threats. The child who got raped for wanting to go to a track meet had her eyes blackened, her lips busted, and her face swollen up on multiple occasions.

Ultimately, we will never know how many times Morrison raped his children. But we do know that the rapes happened when the children were as young as ten and went on for years.

For these crimes against his own children, Morrison was given a potential life sentence. Considering he has given his children a lifetime of pain and suffering, Morrison should spend the rest of his imprisoned.

Morrison should never be given the chance to harm another child. The Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office, therefore, opposes granting Morrison any type of release.
