On November 27, 1983, Harris pulled up to a 21-year-old female who was waiting for a bus. He flagged her over to his car. She thought it was someone she worked with and walked over, only then realizing she had no idea who Harris was. Harris asked her if she wanted a ride. She said no and turned to walk away when Harris grabbed her and pulled her into his car.
He then drove her around while telling her to remove her pants. He pulled into a side street and started to molest her, grabbing her legs and crotch. She eventually managed to escape his car. She hid until she thought it was safe and then went looking for help. Harris, who had changed his clothing, found her and tried to grab her again. She managed to successfully flee from him after that.
On December 30, 1984, Harris offered to give a different woman a ride. She accepted. Harris said he needed to make a quick stop someplace else. She became concerned when she realized that Harris was driving the wrong way to get to where they were supposed to go. He then started groping her and got his hand into her pants. She struggled with him, fought him off, and managed to jump out of the car as it was moving down a highway.
On January 23, 1985, Harris pulled up to yet another girl and offered to give her a ride. She accepted. Quickly thereafter, she realized he was not driving her to where she asked to go. Instead, he drove her from the middle of Hamilton County to Butler County. Once there, Harris ordered her to take her pants off. When she hesitated, he struck her in the face. He then raped her and threw her out of the car.
Two days later, on January 25, Harris found another young lady who was walking home from visiting her grandmother. He pulled up to her, got out and behind her, and put a knife to her throat. He then made her get into his car and drove her miles away. He pulled into a secluded area and, at knife point, forced her to perform oral sex on him before vaginally raping her. He then drove to another location where he forced the same sex acts. He then drove her to yet another location and pushed her out of his car.
Being in prison has done nothing to stop Harri’s sexual assaults. As his institutional summary report indicates, he has touched and harassed multiple inmates in a sexual manner.
Harris repeatedly molested and raped at least three different people. He physically assaulted them. When they escaped, he tried to hunt them down. Harris is a violent rapist. The day he is released from prison is the day yet another young woman will be at risk of being kidnapped, beaten, and raped. Harris should not, therefore, be granted any type of early release. He should spend the rest of his life serving his sentence.
