Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich announces sentence of 10 - 14.5 years for Russian Roulette homicide
Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich announced that Omarion Horne has been sentenced after pleading guilty to involuntary manslaughter for the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old woman last year.
Horne, 23, was sentenced on Friday to spend 10 to 14.5 years in prison.
On Oct. 5, 2025, Horne and several friends were gathered at a home in Winton Hills when Horne removed a revolver from his pocket. Horne removed all but one round from the revolver and said, “Let’s play Russian roulette.” He pointed the gun at the victim and pulled the trigger. A round struck the victim in the chest and killing her.
“This tragic case is a heartbreaking reminder that firearms are never toys and should never be handled recklessly,” said Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich. “What began as a gathering among friends ended with a young woman losing her life because someone treated a loaded gun like a game. There is no safe way to play with a firearm. We hope this conviction serves as a warning that reckless decisions with guns have devastating, irreversible consequences.”
